artist sheet - Sid Frissell

I chose to study this artist because I like how calming his work is and I also like the simplistic look it gives as well. I believe he is an American artist and has painted quite a lot of colourful birds. The media I used was watercolour which is the same as what the artist used at first I found matching the colours quite difficult but became easier as I went along.

I decided to look at this persons work as I like how detailed it is as well as how unique his work is.im still in the process of finishing it but I like my work so far although it is taking longer to produce than I expected. The media I am using is pen (fine liners) and pencil I believe it is the same media the artist uses as in one of his pictures there are fine liners and a pencil but there is nothing written on his website that says he uses this media. He doesn’t just create animal themed pieces but I liked his work on animals so I decided to look into it. On his website it says he sells prints of his work but I don’t think that he sells the originals as well.
