zoetrope

Zoetrope

Originally developed in the 1930s the zoetrope was a large source of entertainment as televisions were scarce among families. The zoetrope is a cylindrical devise with vertical strips in the side the devise is spun and you view the picture through the slits and it appears as though the picture is moving but it is essentially like a flipbook the images are relatively the same apart from a small amount of movement per picture.
